So Me Nsa, meaning “Hold My Hands” in Twi, embodies Garderenes' commitment to walking alongside children and families facing mental health and developmental challenges. This project's goal focuses on providing compassionate, hands-on support through caregiver empowerment, community-based services, and child-centered interventions, because no one should journey alone.
The Garden City Caregiver Support Group Program brought together caregivers from diverse backgrounds for a heartfelt and empowering experience. The event offered a safe space for caregivers of individuals with developmental disabilities to connect, share, and grow together.
Participants engaged in interactive sessions led by mental health professionals, shared their personal stories in supportive circles, and gained practical tools to navigate the challenges of caregiving. The program emphasized emotional well-being, resilience-building, and the power of community.
It was an inspiring time of reflection, encouragement, and healing, reminding every caregiver that they are not alone and that their care matters deeply.
